Christingle:

In December, we held our Christingle service at St Peter's Church, Ireleth. This was a very special event, led by Rev Ruth Crossley, where we shared carols and the children were able to share readings, poems and prayers linked to the Christmas story. In the week before the service, the children and families in school attended and after school workshop to create their Christingle oranges and learnt about the meaning behind each of their components.

Harvest Service:

In September we held our harvest service, which was the first church service of the year, led by Reverend Canon Ruth Crossley.

The whole school had a wonderful time, coming together as a whole community to worship and be thankful for all that we have. It was wonderful to welcome so many family members to our church service, sing together and to see the contribution that each class made to participate and take ownership of worship. The children were able to show their understanding of how our Christian values can be put into practice. The donations made from our School and Church community were extremely generous, with 138kg of food donated which was equivalent to 314 meals!

Our Vision

At Ireleth St Peter’s, through values rooted in Christian teaching, our community nurtures and enables positive foundations for life. Our distinct Christian ethos permeates throughout ISP.

Working together in successful partnership, our school family embraces the common goal of inspiring every child to reach their fullest potential, through God’s love.
